Rameder is the exclusive supplier of tow bars for the three small cars
The young and mobile don’t want to sit around at home all weekend, but instead want to embark on an exciting, adventurous or sporty trip with their vehicle. The retrofitted hook on the rear of the car opens up a world of possibilities for small car drivers. The three cars can each tow up to 500 kilos along the open road, which is why many caravan manufacturers have already specialised in such maximum loads and offer small, lightweight travel trailers for two persons. Even the particularly flat trailer tents are enjoying growing popularity once again. One reason: two bicycles can also be mounted on top for a weekend trip – so you can enjoy a little exercise once you reach your destination.
But the new Rameder tow bar doesn’t just have to be used to attach caravans. With a maximum tow bar load of 50kg, bicycle carriers can also be fitted easily. This is one of the safest and most economical methods of taking your bike with you when you drive because the bicycles - up to three of them - hardly increase the car’s aerodynamic drag when hidden behind the trunk’s lid. Car parks and garages are also not a problem, as the mounted bikes are only slightly higher than the car. In contrast, bikes transported on the roof are directly in the wind, lead to a significant increase in fuel consumption.
The three town cars cannot be fitted with tow bars as standard, and Rameder is currently the only company to offer the hooks for the C1, 107 and Aygo. A special bonus: the ball head can be removed and so disappears in day-to-day traffic. Aygo drivers can also choose a rigid version if they prefer.
