Induction sensors provide “contactless” integration with on-board electronics
For this innovation, Europe’s leading provider of automotive transport accessories has reached deep into its bag of electronic tricks. Previously, e-sets were firmly “wired" to the vehicle's electronics or attached via plug connections while the new e-sets connect all control signals without contact ‒ only the energy supply is still directly connected with the car's electronics. The 7-pin electrical set variant receives information from the board network via induction sensors. Elaborate coding or activation, as was required previously, is no longer necessary. Another advantage of the system is that it emits an acoustic signal in case of a malfunctioning blinker for the bike carrier or trailer: an important safety feature.
