Detachable tow-bar for the compact car from Korea
First and second generation Kia Rio's have already had Rameder tow-bars available to them for some time. The third edition of the Rio has meanwhile reached the market and has grown by seven centimetres. However, if you want to take a bike with you or get rid of large quantities of garden waste, there isn't quite enough transport capacity – despite the extra length. That's why Europe's biggest tow-bar provider has come up with a towing system for the latest model. A detachable version is available at www.rameder.eu which is approved for trailer weights of up to 1,100 kilos and can manage a vertical load of up to 50 kilos without any problem.
That's sufficient capacity to allow the tow-bar, in conjunction with the appropriate carrier, to be used to take the family's bikes along on the journey or to tow heavier weights. Because the ball head of the Rameder tow-bar is detachable, the smooth contours of the Kia are not disturbed when the car is in normal every-day use.
At www.rameder.eu you'll find that Rameder offers two variations of the hook; in the case of the less expensive version of the tow-bar, the bumper adjustments are made only where they cannot be seen. By paying a little bit more, however, you can have a model installed that does not require any adjustments to be made to the rear apron.
